It is about one year ahead for the EC's Member States activating the legislation adopted to Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUPD). The development of a gudiance for SUPD is undergoing. It aims to provide technical and legal clarification for the criteia of single-used plastics. In particular, the replacement for the food-contacting priducts must be evaluated in scrutiny if the plastics are banned for the use. 

Two formulation related to bioplastics are considered as the replacement options and exemption from the SUUPD, natural polymers and non-chemically modified. It is Landguard's mission to use the native regenerable biomass, such as starch, to make the materials biodegradable and compostable under ambient environment.
